Dual Admission Partnership & Transfer Agreement Between Webster University and [Partner School] Introduction and Statement of Purpose Webster University and [partner school] enter into this dual admission agreement in order to better facilitate the transfer of students between the institutions, to enhance mutual cooperation, and to increase benefits and resources to students who enter under this program. Each institution enters into this agreement as equal partners, and all policies and procedures of the dual admission agreement will maintain the autonomy of each institution. The Dual Admission Program is designed for college students who want to earn an associate degree from [partner school] and a baccalaureate degree from Webster University. Provisions Dual admission to Webster University and [partner school] is available to students planning to complete [list all applicable associate degrees] from [partner school] and a baccalaureate degree at Webster University [list eligible Webster degrees if limited]. Students who enter Webster University with an associate degree and have completed a minimum of 60 earned college-level credits.are guaranteed acceptance into Webster with full junior status. Students must meet departmental requirements for acceptance into specific majors. All students must meet graduation and degree requirements as put forth by each institution. Dual admission students will be required to fulfill all general education requirements through transfer credit or Webster University earned credit. Dual admission does not guarantee graduation within a specified timeframe from either institution. Student Eligibility A student must meet the following conditions to be eligible for participation in the dual admission program: ● Apply for dual admission program during the first thirty (30) college-level credit hours at [partner institution] or first two (2) semesters as a [partner school] student. Note: Students applying for the Webster University BSN program must be in the first thirty (30) credit hours or first two (2) semesters of an associate degree program in Nursing [list specific degree, if applicable]. ● Intend to pursue both an associate degree and baccalaureate degree. ● Meet Webster University and individual departmental minimum GPA and admission requirements. Students who have previously matriculated at Webster are not eligible to participate in the dual admission program. Admission Process Students shall complete an Intent to Participate form, with a copy kept by both institutions. The Intent to Participate form also serves as a release of information, authorizing both institutions to share admissions, financial, academic, and advising information, as appropriate. Students are to complete separate applications for admission to Webster University and [partner school]. For admission consideration to Webster University, students should submit all required application materials as outlined at http://www.webster.edu/catalog/2014-2015/undergraduatecatalog/admission.html. Upon completion of their associate degree, students must submit remaining admission materials as defined by their program of study at Webster University. Maintaining Dual Admission Status Students participating in the dual admission program shall complete the appropriate associate degree within four years of acceptance into the dual admission program; students not completing this requirement may be eligible to apply for standard transfer to Webster University. Students participating in the dual admission program shall enroll in Webster University courses within one semester of finishing the associate degree and shall not attend any other institution after completing the associate degree. Students not completing this requirement may be eligible to apply for standard transfer to Webster University. Students must remain within good academic standing as defined by each institution. A student may withdraw from dual admission program at any time prior to earning the associate degree. Student will be expected to notify both [partner school] and Webster University in writing. The student would be eligible to apply to Webster University as a standard transfer student. Enrollment and Transfer Credit The Webster University catalog that is in place at the time a dual admission program student takes his/her first course at Webster will be the catalog that will determine that student’s graduation requirements, provided that constant progress is made towards the completion of the degree. Dual admission students may take coursework at either institution or concurrently, as long as prerequisites have been satisfied. Webster University and [partner school] transfer credits will be awarded in accordance with the articulation agreements that exist between the institutions. Students may transfer coursework between institutions in order to satisfy degree requirements at either institution. The home institution will determine transfer eligibility of coursework completed at the other institution. Communication and Information Webster University and [partner school] agree to work together to provide marketing materials for the dual admission program. No publication or reference to the program shall be printed or distributed without the consent of both institutions. Webster University and [partner school] agree to notify each other regarding any changes in curriculum that will impact this and other institutional agreements. Notification of such changes must be made at least one semester prior to the effective date. Webster University and [partner school] liaisons will share information regarding dual admission program students’ declared majors for the purpose of identifying the appropriate academic advising offices on each campus. [Partner school] will send reports each semester confirming dual admission students’ academic progress. Tuition & Fees and Financial Aid Tuition will be paid directly to the institution providing the course to the student. This agreement does not alter in any way the commitment of the student to meet all financial obligations to the institution providing the course. All tuition, fees, and other associated costs must be paid by the student directly to the institution providing the courses. Dual admission program students are eligible for all applicable scholarships available, provided they meet applicant eligibility. Responsibilities of Each Institution Each student will have a home institution for the purposes of degree completion, financial aid, and veteran benefits. [Partner school] will be designated as the home institution during a student’s associate degree program. Webster University will be designated as the home institution during the baccalaureate program. Webster University and [partner school] will: ● Maintain the integrity of their separate programs and enter into this agreement as equal partners. ● Put the needs of the students first by serving students in the best manner possible. ● Work to promote academic success of all students by maintaining quality academic programs and institutional accreditation. ● Provide accurate and timely information to students interested in transfer to Webster University. ● Publicize this transfer agreement through web and printed materials and conversations with students. ● Designate a liaison who will be responsible for the implementation of this agreement and for overseeing provision of services for students under this agreement. ● Develop process(es) for Intent to Participate including forms and sharing of relevant information. Webster University will: ● Waive application fee for dual admission students. ● Provide academic advising to dual admission program students. ● Provide dual admission students with a Webster University student ID. A Webster University ID will provide access to University buildings and events including full oncampus access to Webster University’s library and University dining services. [Partner school] will: ● Provide regular reports that include ○ Confirmation students are active DAP participants. ○ Academic progress (confirmation of good academic standing). ● Provide space to Webster University to facilitate on-site recruitment and advising. Terms of Agreement This agreement is made and entered into in the academic year [2014-2015] and remains in effect until discontinued with written notice by either or both institutions. The agreement may be amended at any time with the approval of both parties and is subject to regular review to assure accuracy with the respective admission and degree requirements.
