 Shirt - Short Sleeve 2 moisture wicking, if possible no cotton or nylon

 1 long underwear bottom
 Rain Pants 1 lightweight & sturdy
 Long Pants 1 if possible not heavy jeans, scout pants work too
 Underwear -2 (if possible cotton should be avoided)
FOOTWEAR
 Hiking Boots 1 pair well broken in (no sneakers)
 Socks 2 pair synthetic or wool (scout socks work, no cotton)
 Liner Socks 2 pair synthetic (optional)
 Camp Shoes 1 pair lightweight sneakers (optional)
HEAD, NECK & HAND
 Wool or fleece hat - 1
 Glove liners or mittens 1 synthetic wool
 Baseball cap or wide brim hat - 1

 Backpack 1 internal or external frame (the bigger the better)
 Lashing Straps 1 pair holds sleeping bag on pack (no bungee cords)
 Gallon Ziploc Bags 6-12 packing clothes
