Immediately following the 60% point of the term, the instructor will verify which students are actively participating in class as defined below. Students classified as not meeting the criteria for active class participation will be administratively withdrawn with the grade “WF.” For this class, active participation is defined as logging on at least five times per week and completion of weekly assignments due on Sunday night. These criteria will be judged in two ways. Students will be considered as not actively participating in the course if 1) they have two weeks or more without participation and/or contact with the instructor 2) more than 10% of their course assignments are not completed or have a failing grade. Students may withdraw themselves from the class at any time during the term. The deadline to drop with a refund is 08/21/15. A student who withdraws from a class prior to the 60% point of the term will receive a “W.” Student withdrawals submitted after the 60% deadline will result in a “WF,” which will negatively affect the student’s grade point average at SPC and may affect financial aid as well.
