Brazilian Film Festival 4FIPC submissions deadline extended The 4th International Children and Young Filmmaker Festival (FIPC), which displays films produced by children and youngsters of 8 to 17 years old, will have its submissions deadline extended until October 1st. The regulation is available on the website http://www.pequenocineastafest.com.br/index_en.html The festival will take place between November5th- 9th in various areas of Rio de Janeiro with free movie screenings. It will award eight categories with the trophy “Small Filmmaker” as well as with Nikon cameras. A kit of a DSLR D3200 digital camera + AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens will be offered to each film selected as the best film by the official jury in the following categories: National Competitive made by children (ages 8-13); National Competitive made by youngsters (ages 14-17); International Competitive made by children (ages 8-13) and International Competitive made by youngsters (ages 14-17). Each of the best films selected by a popular jury in the categories National Competitive (ages 8-13 and 14-17) and International Competitive (ages 8-13 and 14-17), will be awarded a Nikon COOLPIX L830 digital camera. Last year’s winning films came from Rio de Janeiro, Ceará, Pernambuco, Burundi, Argentina, Portugal and Armenia, which were chosen among the 83 films submitted from 14 countries - Armenia, Argentina, Belgium, Burundi, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Greece, USA, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, UK, Venezuela. The International Children and Young Filmmaker Festival has been organized by filmmaker Daniela Gracindo since 2010.
