h) Two organisms that are competing for the same prey are the Eagles
and snakes. They both prey on the Small vermin , rats , mice and other
smaller animals.
i) if the first order consumers were to decrease then.
j) If the second order consumer were to become extinct then the third
consumer would either have to find a new food source or simply die. But
the first consumer’s numbers would rise as they have no predator.
k) The sum of decomposers that resinate in the Altona coastal park area
is the common mould , fungi and moss.
l) If the third consumer were to increase in numbers there would be a
decrease in the numbers of second order consumers as the third order
consumer would eat them.
m) An introduced species is one that has been brought into a new
environment and has bred to create a home in this new environment.
There are no introduced species in the Altona coastal park.
