REGISTRATION:

Upon Registration the Registration Fee is due along with the 1st months Tuition and ½ of the last
month’s tuition in June. These payments are non refundable and hold your spot in class.
SCHEDULING:
Please refer to the class schedule listed in this Handbook. Remember that Just Dance Studio reserves
the right to change the schedule. If you do not see a time or day listed that fits your schedule please
mark down a day an d time that would work best for you as we are continually adding classes. The
studio will be open in the afternoons on Monday thru Friday this year to provide more flexibility in
scheduling. Classes are scheduled by age and grade but there is room for advancement into a more
advanced class with experience.
Please note that Ballet and Jazz classes are 45
minutes each for grades 2nd and up. We also have level one and level
two dance classes.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Ballet:
Ballet is the fundamentals of all dance styles. We will focus on leg placement,
balance, and technique. We start with barre work or floor exercises to include center floor and
across the floor combinations that are age appropriate.


Tap:
Jazz:
This class is to teach technique and sequences to the fundamentals of tap.
This class a class that allows more movement than ballet but still requires structure
and discipline of ballet.

Hip Hop:
This class is recommended to those that have taken a jazz class. This class
focuses more on street styling and freestyle. It includes intricate movement that is styled to
age appropriate music.

Contemporary:
This class focuses on movement and connection with mind, body, music
and choreography. The older students will concentrate more on contemporary style
movement than ballet.
PRIVATE LESSONS are available upon request.
These lessons are 45 minutes and are $50.00
per lesson. These lessons must be submitted by filling out the Private lesson form and the date and
time must be approved by Kelley Land.
Tuition & Tuition Schedule
Tuition is due the 1st class day of the month. Just dance Studio uses a monthly tuition that covers
a full year of dance from the middle of July to the recital in June. The Total amount of this Monthly
tuition fee is based on the number of regular class hours a dancer spends in instruction each week
and the number of day’s classes are held throughout the dance year (which excludes Holidays) and
are calculated in 12 even payments.

Tuition is due the first class day of the month. A statement will be sent home with the student 1
week prior to the due date. Payment may be made by cash credit/debit, or check. Transactions that
are declined will be charged a $25.00 fee, and the dancer will not be allowed to participate in class
until the account is current.
A 20% late fee will be added to all overdue tuition. A 15% discount will be given to families with more
than one child enrolled in dance classes.
CLASS WITHDRAWS
You may withdraw from any class by giving a 2 weeks written notice. Monthly tuition will be adjusted
to reflect the change in classes. The lowered Tuition will take effect on the 1st of the next calendar
month. To discontinue all classes and withdraw from the studio a two weeks written notice must be
made and submitted to Kelley Land.
ARRIVAL / DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
Due to the layout of the facilities I recommend that each student arrive 10 minutes prior to class to
allow them to prepare by changing their shoes. Pre-School and Elementary aged children will not be
permitted to leave the building without a parent. Jr. High and High School aged dancers must wait
inside until they see their ride has arrived. If you should be running late please contact me at 979451-5603.
ATTENDANCE
It is HIGHLY recommended that you attend each class. Even more so the second semester for that is
when we start learning routines for the upcoming dance recital.
ATTIRE
Students are to wear the appropriate style shoes.
Ballet: Pink Ballet shoes
Tap: Matte Black Tap Shoes
Jazz: Black slip on Jazz shoes
Contemporary & Competitive: Nude Slip on Jazz shoes.
If you have questions please ask me. I can order these shoes from a discount dance supplier or they
can be purchased at any dance retail store. Dancers are also to wear leotards at the color of choice
along with yoga or fit Capri pants. No loose fitted clothing is accepted. This is to help prevent injury.
CALENDAR
The studio will operate on a year long calendar, excluding ½ the month of June & July. The studio
will follow the Waller ISD Academic Calendar for holidays unless otherwise notified.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS
During periods of severe weather we will consult with Waller ISD. Should weather conditions make it
unsafe to the dancers; the studio will cancel classes and post a notice on facebook or through email.
If the calendar permits the instructor will re-schedule the class missed. Credits or refunds on Monthly
Tuition will not be made.
COSTUMES
Costumes will be purchased for both the Holiday Performances and Year End Recital. Costume Fees
are in addition to monthly tuition. Payment is to be made before the costume is ordered. If
payment is not made the parent/guardian is required for the extra rush shipping plus a $5.00 fee.
Students may require more than 1 costume, but will be limited to exclude unnecessary charges.
Costumes will be selected carefully and ordered by Kelley Land. Please keep in mind that these
costumes are not custom fit for your child, so it is very important that you measure your child
accurately and order the appropriate size. Because of the long lead-time, costume sizes cannot be
changed once the order has been placed.
Due Dates for Costume Fees are listed below:
Holiday Performance Costumes: Due by October 8, 2012
Year End Recital Costume: Fees Dues by January 14, 2013

PERFORMANCES
All dances, including: solos, duets and trios; choreographed by Just dance studio and its instructors
are the property of the studio and are not to be performed without consent of Kelley Land.
HOLIDAY PERFORMANCE & RECITAL
The studio will present a Holiday Performance in December and a Year End Recital in June. The
Holiday Showcase Fee is $40.00 per Dancer and $25.00 per each additional dancer per family. The
recital fee is $80.00 per dancer and $30.00 per each additional dancer per family. The recital fee
includes an award in June and 2 VIP pass per family. Each additional pass will be $5.00 per person
and may be purchased prior to the recital or at the door. Recital fees are applied to rental of the
auditorium or ballroom, programs, videographer, scenery, sound equipment, lighting and sound
crews, and other various fees it takes to run a show.

If all fees are not paid and tuition is not current by two weeks prior to the show your child will NOT
be allowed to perform in the performance. All Fees and Tuition is non-refundable.

Waiver & Release
I agree to participate with Just Dance Studio and programs as follows:
1. I recognize the risk of injury common to any performing arts program, and that I am participating in
this program upon the express agreement and understanding that I hereby waiving and releasing the
company and its staff from and against any and all claims, actions, causes of action, damages, costs,
liabilities, expense of judgements, including attorney’s fees and court costs, arising out of my

2. I hereby understand and will comply with all policies regarding the STUDIO POLICIES of the studio
3. I understand fully that Registration and the 1st Installment as well ½ of the June Installment is due at
registration.
