Terms and Conditions
The WES PTO adheres to the policies and procedures outlined below:
1. Supporting your child
After-school is a challenging time of day for many students. We encourage all parents to consider whether the club is a good
fit for their child with regard to energy level, interest, etc.
2. An environment for success
Instructors have a limited window of time in which to create and maintain a learning environment. If an instructor observes a
student is struggling to engage and/or disrupts the learning process, the instructor will consult with the PTO Club Coordinator
and the parents/guardians to determine appropriate action, which may mean the student is asked to withdraw. A prorated
refund will be available.
3. Pick-up
All After School PTO sponsored Clubs will be dismissed promptly at 4:30pm. If a child is consistently picked up late,
students may be requested to withdraw from the club.
 You must come into the school to get your child. For their safety, all students will only be dismissed inside the school
at the intermediate foyer at 4:30.
 If school or after school activities for township are cancelled, there will be no clubs held that day. There will be no makeup days.
By signing and returning this Policy and Release form, the parent agrees to the above terms and conditions, consents to the
participation of his/her child in WES PTO Clubs and agrees to release and hold harmless the WES PTO and all persons acting
for the WES PTO in connection with the Club, from all claims and liabilities arising out of his/her child’s participation in WES
PTO Clubs.
Please note there is no nurse on duty during after-school- clubs… 911 will be called for all emergencies.

Puppet Workshop (Gr. 1 to 5) with Mrs. Saskia Bankert
One of the most ancient forms of storytelling was through the art of puppetry. Over the course of eight weeks, students
will use their creativity and craftsmanship to develop various types of puppets, ranging from finger puppets to glove
puppets, rod puppets to shadow puppets, and time-permitting, a basic marionette. Each student will get to keep all of the
characters he or she creates and go through the process of brainstorming, planning, and executing their plans. This is a
great chance for students to express their creativity while focusing in a technology-free but fun environment. No
experience necessary!

“Matter Monster”, build your own motorized invention, and make groovy lava lamp test tubes!
