To provide essential maintenance to the grounds of Bourn Hall Clinic at Cambridge and other duties in support of the Services team.

INTERNALLY :
Management and Staff at all levels at all Bourn Hall Clinics.
EXTERNALLY :
Suppliers, Contractors and visitors to all Bourn Hall Clinics.

To support the Services function generally with specific responsibility for the maintenance of grounds at Bourn Hall Clinic Cambridge.

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE/BUSINESS EXPERTISE
Competent in use of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment such as ride on lawnmowers, hedge trimmers and hand tools. Appropriate horticultural experience and knowledge.
Knowledge of safety requirements when using grounds maintenance equipment and machinery.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Able to proactively undertake maintenance tasks in the upkeep of Bourn Hall Clinic Cambridge and use initiative to suggest changes in priorities e.g. taking account of weather forecast.
NATURE & AREA OF IMPACT
To provide a suitably aesthetic environment at Bourn Hall Clinic Cambridge.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Able to communicate at all levels and manage own workload with minimal supervision. To be able to work on own initiative, and as part of a team

Preparation of the grounds for PR and ceremonial events and other duties to assist the Services function in supporting the business objectives of Bourn Hall.
CANDIDATE’S PROFILE
EDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Previous maintenance of grounds experience gained over at least 5 years
Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplined maintenance team..
LANGUAGES
Good command of English and written English.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Excellent team worker with sound communication skills
Strong customer service focus
Able to working unsupervised
Flexibility regarding working hours
Familiar with health & safety requirements
Full driving license
