GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. The Show Organiser referred to in these Rules and Regulations shall hereinafter mean
Rockingham Castle. Rockingham Castle British Showjumping Shows will hereinafter be
referred to as the Show.
2. All horses must be registered with the British Showjumping.
3. The Show, Show Organiser, Volunteers and Officials do not accept liability for any accident,
damage, injury, theft or illness to horses, riders, owners, spectators or any other person
or property whatsoever.
4. The Show Organiser retains as its absolute discretion the right to decline or exclude or remove
any person or animal from the show or future shows or return any entry fee without
being required to assign reason or being liable for any compensation.
5. Competitions – The Show Organiser reserves the right to cancel, add to, or amend any of the
competitions, as they think fit, with the approval of the British Showjumping. Some prizes
may be withheld under rule 76.6.
6. Smoking – Smoking is not permitted within any of the showground buildings or stables.
7. Collecting Ring – All warming up must be done in the designated Collecting Rings provided.
Persons found abusing horses on the showground may be asked to leave.
8. Refund of Entry – Refunds will only be in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 79.5.1.
9. Represented Cheques – Any payment that has to be represented to the bank or credit card
company for whatever reason will be subject to a £15.00 administration fee for each
occasion.
10.
Vehicles – The Show Organiser reserves the right to remove any vehicle which is
obstructing any access to or from the ground even if locked and unattended. The Show
Organiser will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage occasioned by such removal.
11.
Dogs – Dogs are permitted in the Lorry Park and car park only. They must be kept under
control at all times. If, in the opinion of the Show Organiser, any person fails to control
their dog/s they may be asked to leave the Showground.
12.
Prize Giving – The Show organiser reserves the right to withhold prizes if competitors do
not attend the Official Prize Giving.
13.
Objections – Objection should be made in writing in accordance to BSJA Rule 198. Two
Show Stewards will be appointed to the Show in accordance to Rule 96.2
14.
Official Photographs – Any photographs taken at the Championship by the Official
Photographer may be used by the Show Organiser for promotional purposes.
15.
First Aid – A total of £3 per day per competitor will be charged towards medical cover
during the hours of competition.
16.
Vaccination Certificate – All horses at the show must have a current and valid certificate
of vaccination against Equine Influenza. There will be random checking of certificates and
any horse found without a valid certificate will be asked to leave the show ground.
17.
Stallions – No person shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lesse,
authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any class without
taking adequate precautions to ensure other persons are not put at risk of injury.
18.
Close of Entries –Entries will close as per schedule.
19.
ANY PERSON (S) & THEIR ASSOCIATES FOUND MISBEHAVING OR CAUSING DAMAGE WILL
BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE VENUE IMMEDIATELY
Please read carefully the General Rules and Regulations. Any person coming to the show or
involved in any aspect of the meeting is deemed bound by the General Rules & Regulations.
