effortless as possible and worthy of your return call. Our success will ultimately be measured by our customers choosing us
because of their belief in our ability to meet or exceed their expectations of price, service and selection.
We recommend following Resuscitation Kit for use by personnel when providing resuscitation for a non-breathing patients and
control of severe bleeding, burns and fractures until the arrival of of medical or advanced prehospital care.
1.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) – The use of an AED, also known as defibrillation is an important addition to CPR
process. Evidence shows that using an AED can greatly improve the survival chances of a patient in cardiac arrest. An
automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that checks the heart rhythm. If needed, it can send an
electric shock to the heart to try to restore a normal rhythm. AED’s are used to treat sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).
2.
Ventilation using Bag Valve Mask (BVM) – The BVM provides in a single unit the means to provide safe resuscitation to the
non-breathing patient and ventilation support to the breathing patient with no risk of cross infection when used with
medical gloves and Avagard hand sanitiser.
When ventilating a victim without an advanced airway, ventilation should be continued at a ratio of 30 compressions to
2 ventilations using a Bag-Valve-Mask, irrespective of the number of rescuers, until an advanced airway is in place. Where
difficulty with bag-mask-valve resuscitation is experienced, two trained officers may be required i.e. the first to manage
the airway and the second to operate the bag.
3.
Hand Hygiene – Hand hygiene is the single most important way to prevent the spread of infection. Using Avagard hand
sanitiser is the most effective and preferred method of hand hygiene except if hands are visibly soiled, after using the
toilet, handling patients even if your hands are not visibly dirty and you have worn gloves.
4.
Barrier Protection – Gloves should be worn when contact with patients, blood, body fluids, mucus membranes, non-intact
skin, excretions or secretions are anticipated. Hand hygiene must be performed before putting gloves on and after
removing gloves. Remember to use approved hand sanitizer and wear gloves for EVERY PATIENT, EVERY CONTACT &
EVERY TIME!
5.
Immobilisation & Wound Control – A 600 m roll of Gladwrap makes an excellent, biologically safe, sterile non-stick wound
dressing for first aid to:
−
Control severe bleeding, cover open wounds, chest and abdomen wounds
−
Dress burns, after the burn area has been cooled with cold running water for at least 20 min
−
Immobilise fractured limbs or as an efficient method of strapping damaged limbs and supporting fractures from
collarbone to femur.

LIFEPAK CR Plus AED Package
THE SMARTEST CHOICE, FOR PEACE OF MIND
With the LIFEPAK CR Plus AED, you will have peace of mind knowing you have Medtronic,
the world leader in defibrillation, behind you. The LIFEPAK reputation for quality and reliability
has earned the trust of the experts in emergency medical care.
THE EASIEST AED TO USE, FOR FASTER TIME TO FIRST SHOCK
Medtronic created the LIFEPAK CR Plus Automated External
Defibrillator (AED) for the first person at the scene of a sudden
cardiac arrest to use. Designed for the minimally trained rescuer,
the semi-automatic CR Plus requires just three steps to give a
potentially lifesaving defibrillation shock, while the fully automatic
CR Plus requires just two steps.
Unlike AEDs with complex prompts and limited energy for defibrillation, the semi- automated
LIFEPAK CR Plus Defibrillator (AED) combines an easy three-step operation, just the right level
of guidance, and the capability to provide additional shocks, up to 350 joules if the heart
does not respond to the first shock. This can enhance the chance of defibrillation success,
with the goal of saving more lives.
The LIFEPAK CR Plus AED comes with an 8 year Manufacturer Warranty, Fast & Easy 2
Step Fully Operation, and Escalating Energy to 360J, and Low Maintenance Cost.
