Arts@Trinity Guidance for Installations All installations will be curated or overseen by the Artistic Director. He or she will have the final say over how the exhibition is to be conducted. Please be aware that Holy Trinity Church is an active worshipping church which regularly hosts a number of events organised by Arts@Trinity. Any installation has to be designed and constructed to take account of this fact. All artwork therefore has to be moveable so that it may be taken up and stored when another event, such as a gig, is going on. To this end: Exhibits must be positioned next to the outer walls in both the north and the south aisles. These can be hung from our panelled screens. No fixtures may be made to the pillars and walls. Exhibits may be positioned in the window spaces and, exceptionally, hung between the pillars but they must be removable. Other areas may be used (e.g. Chancel, Sanctuary, Nave) providing the exhibits can be moved as and when necessary by A@T staff. Floor exhibits are discouraged unless they are easily moveable by A@T staff. Invigilation is the responsibility of the exhibitors. Exhibitions should also involve a Private Viewing evening at which A@T will run a bar. Holy Trinity Church may be hired exclusively for the duration of an exhibition at £1200 per week with the following exceptions: Sundays is dedicated to worship and not open to exhibition visitors. Tuesdays and Fridays there is a Eucharist service between 12.45 – 1.30 pm and while the church is open to visitors we would ask that both exhibitors and visitors respect this fact. Mondays 1 - 3pm and Fridays 10 – 12am is known as prayer time and again while the church is open to visitors we would ask that both exhibitors and visitors respect this. When agreeing an exhibition, the artistic director will alert the curator/exhibitors to events going on at Holy Trinity Church during the period of the exhibition and will work with the curator/exhibitors to minimise disruption both to the installation and the running of events within the church. Arts@Trinity can provide film screens and a projector, some tables and chairs; other equipment such as lighting, by negotiation. Arts@Trinity and Holy Trinity Church accept no responsibility for the loss or damage of any art work whilst installed in the premises unless prior arrangements have been made for safekeeping of exhibits. All exhibitors are encouraged to take out their own insurance against damage, loss or public liability.
