7th MEETING IN CYPRUS, Nicosia

Objectives:
• to develop students and staffs perception of European citizenship and strengthening the European
Dimension within the schools, increasing co-operation at schools, community and European level

- Organizing project activities, workshops for staff and learners

Workshop: Public awareness campaigns; Teacher Project: Explore EU citizenship
in the classroom – share strategies for learning AC
 Share experiences and good practices about Intercultural Dialog - National
experiences: local and EU results
 International Positive Message - Focused on international cooperation between
schools and establishing cross-cultural performances. Roleplay about
participation in civil society.

ARRIVAL DAY/S: 21st&22ndMarch 2015 (Saturday/Sunday)
 Each delegation arrives on their own time.*
* You can use the shuttle bus from the airport to Nicosia-the programme has been sent to you.
 Delegations that involve students will use a private bus and will meet the host
families accordingly.
 Teachers will be transferred to their hotel.
 Optional dinner in the old city of Nicosia –either sat or sun.

 08:00 National day celebrations – all guests will have the opportunity to see how Cypriots
celebrate the 25th March – they will already know about the day from the presentations of
the previous days. (workshops)

CONCLUSIONS
In the group meeting partners shared the experience in projects. Each partner prepared presentations about
the school activities about topic of COM project, products for the WEB PAGE, local results (leaflets, posters
etc.).
All participants prepared a handicraft – a representative one from each country. (it was a model of a statue,
pot, a traditionally dressed dummy etc.) They described and explained why/how it is associated with each
country. The second task was for participants to prepare a short presentation (5-8 min) – ppt, prezi, video clip
etc – on national holidays/celebrations/festivals etc and illustrate why and how they are celebrated in our
country/area. It was useful to share these and compare/contrast our culture.
All partners planned future project activities and details for the last meeting, final CONFERENCE in SLOVENIA,
dates: 21-23 MAY, 2015.
