Compared to last week feeder cattle were steady to 5.00 higher.
Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. There were moderate offering
of cattle today comprised of mostly average quality. There were good
buyer activity. Demand is very light for early maturing feeder cattle
and cattle with dairy influence.
Slaughter cows made up 11 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 2 percent,
replacement cows 7 percent, other cows 1 percent, and feeders 78 percent.
The feeder supply included 30 percent steers, 37 percent heifers, and 33
percent bulls. Near 15 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
