Fiona Stanley Hospital Fiona Stanley Hospital is a state of the art 783 bed tertiary public hospital designed in line with the latest healthcare design principles. It provides a full range of medical and surgical services including the State Burns Service, the 140 bed State Rehabilitation Service, comprehensive cancer services and high level emergency care. Position Profile The Pain Medicine service at FSH offers an inpatient consultative service for persistent complex pain throughout the hospital including the State Rehabilitation Service. An outpatient consultative service including group based educational and behavioural programs with the Allied Health team are run weekly. Access to an interventional procedural list is available. As part of an interdisciplinary team the consultant is responsible for: Leading the provision of pain medicine services to patients. Promoting personalised, safe and timely care. Leading and promoting the organisational culture of commitment, accountability, respect and excellence. Actively addressing clinical risks and delays in patient care for individual patients. Educating and supervising junior medical staff and other health workers. Working with the Head of Specialty and other consultants to manage unplanned and planned patient demand, achieve national performance outcomes and to meet the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards.
