Approval of minutes: February 23, 2015 It was moved by Representative Rundquist and seconded by Representative Cameron to approve the minutes of February 23. Motion carried. A faculty member who was to be terminated, instead was suspended. B. Anonymous Letter An anonymous letter was distributed to part-time faculty earlier in the Spring 2015 term, which requested their personal e-mail addresses and telephone numbers. The letter was written as if it was on behalf of the Chaffey College Faculty Association (CCFA), but it was not. The author has been identified and the issue is resolved. This person has indicated that the goal of the letter was to initiate a dialogue with part-time faculty. It was not this person’s intention to misrepresent CCFA. C. Other IV. Officers' Reports A. Treasurer: Diana Cosand Treasurer Cosand has reported the current balance of CCFA bank accounts. B. Membership Chair: Jon Ausubel There is an article in the Chaffey Breeze about National Adjunct Action Day. Membership Chair Ausubel will be attending a membership information luncheon hosted by the California Teachers Association on March 28 in Santa Fe Springs. Others are invited to attend if desired. Joint social events may be planned between CCFA and the Chaffey College chapter of the California School Employees Association (CSEA). Discussions between Membership Chair Ausubel and Chapter President Giovanni Sosa are in their initial stages. C. Negotiators: Sue Herman, Vera Dunwoody and Greg Creel – Update Contract negotiations are ongoing. D. Grievance Committee: Jon Ausubel, Paula Snyder and Bret McMurran – Level 2 Grievance on unilateral change in a faculty’s member schedule at the end on the Fall Term, Informal Grievance on CNA and LVN programs with Section 18.5.4 (e) “Programs which are mandated by accreditation standards shall have coordinators appointed in accordance with these standards”, and Informal Grievance on faculty evaluations in the ADN Program V. Labor, Management Committee: Greg Creel, Shelley Eckvahl and Bret McMurran – correct load based on 175 days and not 180 days of instruction, exit interview process, evaluation and student comments, faculty communications with the Board, and trust issues F. Election Committee: Rod Elsdon – positions up at the end of the Spring Semester (Negotiator, President and Reps) The terms of several Representative Council members will expire on May 31, 2015.
