Inventory trailers and temporary portable buildings and ensure all are anchored especially those in the vicinity of critical equipment such as transformer stations.

Ensure that the telephone pole/guy wire inspection was conducted and that all work orders will be completed. Check all structures to see if additional guy wires are needed.

Survey emergency generating and standby equipment.

Operational Checklist

1 Review the Hurricane Shutdown Sequence and the

Shutdown PFSD (provided in Chapter 8).

2 Discuss planned special or unusual operations, which may impact the execution of the shutdown sequence, i.e. turnarounds, equipment outages.

3 Review the Operating Strategies for slop, crude, and clean products.

4 Review “Load Shedding Plans” and other utility requirements. (hydrogen/steam)

5 Discuss operating plans and options in the event crude or product pipelines shutdown.

6 Develop a plan to hold out vessels from the refinery docks.
