Bag o’ Me!
Throughout this class, you will be asked to push yourself out of your comfort zone! In order
to grow as a communicator, you need to feel comfortable with the audience and comfortable
with yourself. Therefore, you must be self-aware. Upon completion of this assignment, you
will explore your own beliefs, values, and things that matter to you. Be sure to make
everything big enough so we’ll be able to see them clearly when you present them to the
class!

Bag O’Me Presentation/Creation of Visuals Rubric
A (10/10 pts.) The delivery was well executed and included eye contact and volume. It is
clear that the student practiced. The student was sincere and vulnerable
with the class. Obvious effort was put forth. The presentation is original
and well executed. All aspects of the visuals were present and creative.
C (7/10 pts.) The delivery did not have eye contact or appropriate volume. It is unclear
if the speech was practiced. Some effort was put forth, and the
presentation seemed somewhat sincere. Some aspects of the visuals were
present; might have been missing components.
F( 2/5 pts.)
The student wrote a note to his or her teacher explaining why the speech
was not prepared or incomplete. They will detail a plan of action to make
up this work. The speech grade will be knocked down 20% for not being
on time. Any day after that, the student will loose 50% for not being
prepared.

The student wrote a note to his or her teacher explaining why the proposal
not prepared or incomplete. They will detail a plan of action to make up
this work, in order to gain up to 3.5/5 points for the work being late.

Did not submit, or make any effort to make up, the missing outline or
word for word.
Peer/Self-Evaluation Rubric ad Notes
A (5/5 pts.)
The student gives full effort to critiquing their own speech or evaluating
his or her peers by thoroughly answering every question. The student does
not skimp or appear rushed through the process, and provides specific,
applicable critique that goes above and beyond general comments like
“great job!” by explaining how or why a student could improve. The
student takes detailed notes on the values of peers.
C (3.5/5 pts.) The student gives marginal effort to critiquing his or her speech or
evaluating his or her peers by not answering every question or answering
the questions with generic commentary. The student seems to skimp or
appear rushed through the process, and does not provide useful, applicable
feedback to themselves or their peers. The student takes partial notes on
the values of peers.

The student wrote a note to his or her teacher explaining why the peer
evaluation and notes were not prepared or incomplete. They will detail a
plan of action to make up this work, in order to gain up to 3.5/5 points for
the work being late.
