Bell ringer over Benchmark Assessment’s most missed questions.
“Accountable Talk” to include asking students to pick the correct answer,
the most chosen incorrect answer, and what misunderstandings lead to
students missing the chosen problems.
“Accountable Duo” grading consists of a student who has performed
marginally on the test being teamed up with a high-achieving student to
grade an anonymous (teacher created) test paper. Students are
expected to correct the incorrect answers and provide feedback on the
test. This provides the students the opportunity to review the content
once-more before moving into a new subject matter area. Students
performing poorly will require remediation during designated tutoring
times.
Chemical and Physical Reactions Text assignment will require students
to read and write explanations as to the difference between a physical
and chemical reaction, as well correlate this to future lessons over
Compounds, Mixtures, and Solutions.
Interactive Power point delivery of new content - Compounds, and
Physical and Chemical Reactions
Brainpop Video over Compounds
Brainpop Video over Physical and Chemical Reactions
