Reasons agreed and approved 15/AME/027 CHAIRMAN’S ANNOUNCEMENTS The Green Flag Award has been awarded to Friends of Meadow Park 15/AME/028 DECLARATION OF INTEREST IN ITEMS ON THE AGENDA None 15/AME/029 TO REPORT MATTERS ARISING FROM MINUTES DATED 21st JULY 2015 NOT ON THE AGENDA – FOR INFORMATION ONLY None 15/AME/030 TO DISCUSS THE PLAY 4 LIFE PLAY 4 ALL PROJECT AND TO CONSIDER OPENING CEREMONY – The Opening Ceremony for the new Play Park is scheduled for Wednesday 23rd September at 5.30pm. A Sub-Group consisting of Cllr Oatey, Robinson, Males and 2 parents is to meet tomorrow evening at 7.30pm to discuss ideas for the ceremony. In the meantime, invitation letters will go to - Proludic, Central TV, People’s Millions, Schools, Richard Jenks as Chairman of Amenities at the time of the project commencement and colleagues from Rushcliffe Borough Council. Advertising the Opening will be by way of Posters, Websites, and Parish Council Newsletter and through the School’s texting service. OLD SURPLUS PLAY EQUIPMENT – Some of the fencing around the old play area will be used to fence off an area of the Rest Garden. Other remaining equipment will be subject to inspection before any decision is made for its future use. GOAL POSTS (PORTABLE) – New portable goal posts and nets are on order. FINAL PROJECT REPORT – Cllr Kevin Shaw is to complete the final project report on behalf of the Parish Council for the People’s Millions INSPECTIONS – The Annual Play Equipment Inspection is to be continued to be carried out by the Inspector from Children’s Play Advisory Service – Agreed. INSURANCE – Awaiting information on the costs of insurance premiums for the new play equipment. 15/AME/031 TO REVIEW THE BURIAL GROUND REGULATIONS IN RELATION TO ARTEFACTS/ORNAMENTS No change to the Regulations at this stage. In the meantime notices for the removal of unauthorised artefacts/ornaments are to be issued and displayed together with an item in the newsletter. Cllr Conrad Oatey as Portfolio holder will authorise removal of items as necessary. The Regulations are to be revised in January 2016 - Agreed 40 15/AME/032 TO DISCUSS THE GROUNDS MAINTENANCE OF LAND BEHIND THE HOUSES ON DE FERRERS CLOSE (DITCH) AND BACKING ON TO MEADOW PARK Residents at number 6-13 De Ferrers Close are to be invited to a meeting to discuss the land in question with a view to determining ownership and responsibility – Agreed. 15/AME/033 TO DISCUSS THE SECTION 178 LICENCE APPLICATION – SEASONAL DECORATIONS Cllr Kevin Shaw and the Clerk will meet to complete the Licence Application Form. 15/AME/034 TO REVIEW PROGRESS AND CONSIDER APPROVAL FOR ONGOING PROJECTS IN RELATION TO: Parking Issues – Cllr Marie Males having received representation from residents on Meeting House Close about the inappropriate parking at the entrance to the Close raised this issue with the Committee. Nottinghamshire County Council Highways, County Cllr Andrew Brown and the Police are to be made aware of the issues – Agreed. Meadow Park – Green Flag/Flag Pole – Congratulations to the Friends of Meadow Park for the Green Flag award. Consideration is to be given to the installation of a flag pole for the flag plus any other flags we choose to raise. This is to be a project item for the Strategic Planning Committee. Rest Garden – Nothing further to report Workshop Extension – Nothing further to report Christmas Decorations - Nothing further to report Closed Churchyard - Nothing further to report Play Equipment – Skate Park – A recent inspection of the Skate Park has not revealed any dangerous conditions. However it is acknowledged that there are some panels that need replacement. Subject to the price/quotes awaited replacement work is to then take place. Land at the side of the Post Office – The Parish Council Groundsmen are to continue to maintain the land for the time being.
