Football team shows charitable side to win new sponsored kit in nationwide
competition
Stafford Rangers Under 14s win Host Your Kit
A charitable young football team from Stafford is proudly sporting a new sponsored strip after
winning a nationwide kit competition organised by UK cloud computing company iomart Hosting.
Stafford Rangers Juniors saw Host Your Kit, iomart Hosting’s competition to win free football kits,
promoted on Sky Sports’ Soccer Am and decided to enter its Under 14s team. Teams had to explain
via email or video why they deserved a new kit. The best entries won a brand new addidas strip.
The Under 14s side told the judges how, despite struggling to raise money for a new sponsored kit
for themselves for this season, the team had decided to donate its old kit to a charity for underprivileged children in South Africa.
Neil Mackay, Coach of Stafford Rangers Under 14s said: “Because of the current financial climate we
couldn’t get a sponsor to support us this season and we desperately needed a new kit. Despite this
when one of our players Josh Wilson visited South Africa we decided to send all our old kit with him.
This new iomart Hosting kit is a wonderful reward for the kind hearted approach of the players and
also the hard work that the parents and coaches have put in to support them. We hope that another
group of under-privileged youngsters will benefit from it in the future.”
