General Information for Participants
WGGC Fiber Arts Sale 2014
Inventory Sheets:
 These can be completed online using the link on the guild website:
http://www.weaversguildcincinnati.org. Find it in the “members only” section, under the
Fiber Arts Sale. Print a copy for your records.

The items listed on your inventory form should match the items you bring to the sale.

The item number on the inventory form should match the UPC tag attached to the item.

A paper copy of the inventory form must be turned in when you deliver your items for the
sale. There will be a marked tray in the library annex.
Contract:
 The contract must be filled in completely and signed. Turn it in when you deliver your
items for the sale. There will be a marked tray in the library annex.
Sales Tags:
 All items must have a WGGC tag, completely filled out (not just “see attached”).

All items must be priced in whole dollars. There is a minimum price of $10. Items
may be grouped to achieve the $10 minimum.

Attach the UPC sticker to the sales tag AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TAG. This
number should match the item number you entered on your inventory form.

Make sure that prices are CLEARLY PRINTED on each item tag and that the price
on the tag is the same as the price listed on the inventory form.

Sales tags must be safety-pinned or securely tied with string or yarn through the
piece. Ribbon is too slippery and comes loose. Items without a WGGC tag will not be
included in the sale. You may want to include your personal business tag in addition
to the WGGC tag.

Fiber content listed on the tag must be accurate, along with appropriate care
instructions. Washable items must be prewashed and dry-cleanable items labeled
as such.


Decorative items that may look like a toy but are not intended as such should be
clearly marked “Not A Toy” on the sales tag.
Donated Items:
 List donated items on your inventory form. They must be priced and tagged the same
as all other items. Please mark “DTG” on the upper corner of the sales tag and mark
“Yes” in the donate column on the inventory form.

Donated items not sold will be returned to you along with the rest of your unsold
inventory after the sale.

Miscellaneous:

Items intended for use as toys should not include embellishments that would
constitute a hazard.

Pillows must be filled with ALL NEW MATERIALS or commercially made pillow
forms. Commercial pillow form content tags must be intact. If not using a
commercial pillow form, pillow stuffing materials content must be clearly listed on the
item tag in addition to the fiber content of the handmade pillow cover and other
embellishments.

If you bring a rack, basket, or display item, be sure and PUT YOUR NAME ON IT so
it can be returned to you.

All sale items must be delivered in a container clearly marked with your name.
Be sure and mark the lid, too.

The Sale Chairs & the Set-up Committee Chair reserve the right to determine how
your items are displayed and the quantity of items put on view during the sale. Every
effort will be made to sell all your items, but due to space restrictions and display
goals, it may be necessary to hold back some items. The chairs also reserve the
right to refuse to display any item not reviewed or without a tag.

Please remember, as per the contract you are required to sign:
“Great precautions are taken to prevent the theft/loss of items
submitted to the sale. The Weavers Guild of Greater Cincinnati,
Inc. is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged during
the sale. Please check your insurance for coverage.”
