Criteria/requirements for Application:
Training directly related to supervision of structural works in
building/construction/design will be accorded 6 STU per day of training (maximum of
12 STU if more than one day of training and 1 STU per one hour of training), and
t r a in in g indirectly related to supervision of structural works in
building/construction/design will be accorded a m a x i m u m o f 3 STU regardless of
hours of training . Applications should be submitted before the commencement date of
the training to JAC for approval. Processing time shall be approx. three weeks*. All
applications should state clearly if applying for STU for supervision of structural works
training or STU for safety training. All applications shall be subject to final approval by
JAC.
*Application for STU (safety) should be approved for Safety Development Unit (SDU)
with Singapore Institution of Safety Officers (SISO) before submission to JAC for

Certificate of attendance should be issued to the attendees and specify the approved STU, i.e.
STU (structural) or STU (safety) approved by JAC. Attendance list in excel to be submitted by 2
weeks after training completion for our records. If we do not receive the above we will deem
the training is not approved.
