Trade Training Centre. Arethusa College is a special
assistance school focussed on re-engaging students and
transitioning them into further study or employment. All
students are classified as having some learning

The Trade Training Centre includes the construction of an
automotive workshop, the refurbishment of an existing
facility to include a construction and furnishing workshop
and also the provision of equipment. It will deliver
Certificate I and II qualifications in automotive,
construction and manufacturing to address skills
shortages in the trades of automotive electrician,
cabinetmaker, carpenter, carpenter and joiner, diesel
motor mechanic, furniture upholsterer, motor mechanic,
motorcycle mechanic, panel beater, picture framer, small
engine mechanic, vehicle painter, vehicle trimmer and
welder.
Funding was approved to establish the Lower Burdekin
Construction Trade Training Centre. The Trade Training
Centre includes the construction of an open plan shed
and construction workshop and also the provision of
equipment. It will deliver Certificate I qualifications in
construction to address skills shortages in the trades of
bricklayer, carpenter, carpenter and joiner, fibrous
plasterer, joiner, painter and decorator and wall and floor
tiler.
Funding was approved to establish the Canterbury
College Trade Training Centre. The Trade Training Centre
includes the construction of a furnishing and construction
workshop and a commercial kitchen and also the
provision of equipment. It will deliver Certificate I and II
in construction, hospitality and manufacturing to address

three sites within the cluster. It will deliver Certificate II
qualifications in automotive, electrotechnology and
manufacturing. These qualifications address skills
shortages in the trades of automotive electrician,
electrical powerline tradesperson, electronic equipment
tradesperson, motor mechanic, panel beater, vehicle
body maker, vehicle painter and vehicle trimmer. It will
also deliver Certificate III qualifications in laboratory skills
as part of occupations in local demand in line with the
need for a large number of laboratory technicians across
a range of industry areas including Manufacturing,
Mining, Construction, Food Processing, Health and
Environment Sectors.

College Trade Training Centre. The Trade Training Centre
includes the construction of an engineering workshop
and also the provision of equipment. It will deliver
Certificate I and II qualifications in engineering to address

Trade Training Centre will focus on vocational pathways

Centre includes the construction of a construction and
engineering facility, the refurbishment of an existing
facility and also the provision of equipment across two
sites within the cluster. It will deliver Certificate II

manufacturing to address skills shortages in the trades of
boat builder and repairer, bricklayer, cabinetmaker,

cluster. It will deliver Certificate I and II qualifications in
construction and hospitality to address skills shortages in
the trades of bricklayer, carpenter, carpenter and joiner,
cook, fibrous plasterer, painter and decorator, plumber
and wall and floor tiler.
Funding was approved to establish the Indigenous Health
Care Trade Training Centre. The Trade Training Centre
includes the construction of an indigenous health facility
to include a theory room, examination and
demonstration room, technology hub and office and also
the provision of equipment. It will deliver Certificate II
qualifications in allied health to address skills shortages in
occupations in local demand in indigenous health care.
Funding was approved to establish the Warwick Trade
Training Centre. The Trade Training Centre includes the
construction of an industrial workshop and an industrial
shed, the refurbishment of an existing facility to include
an engineering workshop and also the provision of
equipment across three sites within the cluster. It will
deliver Certificate I and II qualifications in agriculture,
engineering and manufacturing to address skills
shortages in agriculture and the trades of metal
fabricator, pressure welder, sheetmetal worker and
welder. It will also deliver Certificate II qualifications in
sampling and measuring under occupations in local
demand, as the TTC is located on the cusp of the Surat
Basin Mining area and local mines have expressed an
interest in working with the TTC to source future
employees for their projects.
