The CMP is used to correct minor disruptive behaviors in the following manner:
1st Offense: Teacher will give student a verbal warning and document it.
2nd Offense: Teacher will give a 2nd verbal warning and the student will either be
moved from seat or not allowed to participate in group work or both. The
violations will be recorded on the classroom management plan. The student will
then receive a behavior card to self-monitor behavior. This card will be taken
home and signed after 7 total offenses.
3rd offense: The student and teacher will record the violation. The student will be
given one day of lunch detention, in which the student will complete a plan on
behavior modification. The teacher will make contact with the parent.
4th Offense: The student will be removed from class. Teacher will conference
with student and guidance counselor. Parent is invited and encouraged to attend;
however, conference will occur with or without parent. (This conference will be
held at least 2 days after the teacher sends a conference request to the
counselor.)
