Advisor Report, Liz Beemer (absent) Old Business Presidents and Treasurers Training o We are currently working on finding times to hold Presidents and Treasurer Trainings since many organizations did not go to them this week or last. The form to request this training will be updated on OrgSync as soon as we have those dates finalized. SG Projector Sign-Out Form o Form is up under Services tab of the SG website. o Can be used for meeting, events, etc. o Request must be made 48 hours before event and must be in good standing with the House. New Business Habitat for Humanity Build o Building a home for a family consisting of a single mother with a disabled son. o Good way to do community service and give back to the community. Can contact David to set up a day. Decorate your ceramic pig and compete to get the most votes for your pig! Social Justice Training Initiative Citywide MLK March o The march will line- up at 10:00am across from the Dr. Charles R. Drew Health Center – 1323 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way. The walk begins at 10:30am. o If you would like to go, Wright State will be providing transportation. An RTA bus will leave WSU Student Union at 9:15am and head downtown. The students will get picked up at the Dayton Convention Center at 12:00pm to head back to Wright State. o Please sign the sheet being passed around if you would like to go with Wright State. o Orgs can use this for service hours, volunteer time, and a good group event! o Contact Peyton for more info. Wright State Annual Unity Campus March and Rally o On Tuesday, January 20, from 12pm – 1pm, the March will happen from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. o The participants will meet in the Millet Hall Atrium. Feb. 19 o Includes a Film show and a Town Hall meeting Salsa Samba Night o The Office of Lation Affairs, LEAP and the Residents Life and Housing are hosting a night filled with exotic Latin music, great musicians, free food, and dance lessons. o On February 26th, 7:00-10:00pm in the Student Union Atrium In Solidarity, We Resist o Charmaine Griffith, a student on campus, is working with the Women’s Center, Counseling and Wellness, and Student Legal Services to create an art/activist project designed to help survivors of sexual violence reclaim space to tell their stories. They are looking for individuals affected by sexual violence who would like to share their stories confidentially.
