Entry Fees will be $30.00 per animal for week, and $10.00 for any entry line classes 1 day only. Trailer spaces in paddock barn lot will be serviced, those above the former dairy barn do not have guaranteed service. Please indicate on entry form which area is preferred. Trailer hook-ups will be at $20.00 non-serviced $30.00 serviced per night (HST included). 2. Entries must be received at the NSPE Commission Office by August 10, 2015. STALLS WILL BE ASSIGNED BASED ON ENTRIES RECEIVED BY THIS DATE. 3. Please note – there will be no refund of entry fees for Draft Horses unless the Exhibition Office is notified of cancellation 48 hours prior to designated arrival time. 4. Horses must be on the grounds by 9:00am on Wednesday, August 26, and remain on the grounds until 9:00pm, Saturday, August 29. The above rules do not apply to horses shown on the line classes only, or to pulling horses. 5. Horses will not be weighed. 6. All teams, mares & geldings will be divided into light and heavy classes by the Committee, in order to balance the number of animals in each class. The Committee’s decision is final. 7. Horses must be well broke to drive as single, pair, or multiple hitches. 8. Horses must be bitted to suit the temperament of the horse and the experience of the driver. 9. Drivers and headers must be suitably dressed to enter the show ring. 10. Ladies and junior classes must have a header in the ring when hitches line up. 11. Multiple hitches (more than a team) must have a second capable person on the seat with the driver. 12. Hitches enter the show ring on the direction of the Ring Master. 13. Hitches will be required to show at a walk and sharp trot both ways of the ring. At the discretion of the Judge, hitches may be required to halt while on the rail or back up while lined up in the centre. 14. Owners and drivers must, at all times, handle and drive horses in a safe and prudent manner with the safety of the public and other hitches in mind. 15. Competition Management may at any time refuse entry to the show ring to any driver or hitch they deem to be unsafe. 16. Competition Management may excuse from the ring any hitch they deem to be a hazard to other hitches or the viewing public. 17. All competitions must be held in a fenced or enclosed area and every effort will be made to ensure a safe hitching and assembly area. 18. Proof of Insurance must be attached to Entry Form. A breeding unit may show two (2) animals in any three (3) classes, but only one (1) animal in the balance of the breeding classes to a maximum of 10 animals per breeding unit, with the exception of the Get of Sire Class.
