CMSEC Inc. AMHR Show Policies
A current year negative coggins test is required on all horses entering the show grounds except nursing
foals. Please have copy of the horse’s current coggins report to be placed on file with show manager.
All checks will be cashed as soon as possible. No post-dated checks will be accepted. All classes must be paid
for before the class. If a check is returned (bounced), that person will be reported to the AMHR. A $25 check
return fee will be charged and further action may be taken by CMSEC
To be properly entered in this show:
Horse:
1. Copy of registration papers on file with show manager
2. Copy of negative coggins test on file with show manager
3. Height measurement verified by show steward
4. Completed entry form
5. Pay fees in full
Exhibitor:
1. All exhibitors must have a properly signed CMSEC liability of release form on file.
2. Copy of Amateur or youth card on file with the show manager. (Cards are obtained through American
Miniature Horse Registry)
3. Abide by the rules of the ASPC/AMHR
Exhibitors and Spectators:
 Intoxicated behavior by exhibitors or spectators on the show grounds is strictly prohibited and the
person or people exhibiting this behavior will be expelled from the show grounds.
Please note: Pre-registration is important! If we find we need more room, the show manager can request
additional space two (2) weeks before the show. So we need to have a very close count at that time.
All dogs in the horse area MUST be on a leash at all times – no exceptions! (The fairgrounds is being very
strict on this)
CLASSES WILL START AT 8:30 AM EACH MORNING
All exhibitors and guests are invited to our BBQ cookout being sponsored by CMSEC on Saturday
night during the obstacle/liberty classes!!
Special class information
“CMSEC” classes are open classes for non-registered mares and geldings that meet the size requirements.
All other show requirements are required. These are non-AMHR rated classes.
MUSICAL BUCKETS – One handler/one horse combination class. Open to any age, horse does not need to
be registered, but must be 38” or under. Played like Musical chairs, but with gallon milk jugs. Game starts with
one less milk jug than participants. The goal is to grab a milk jug when the music stops. A milk jug is removed
each round, until there are only 2 players and one milk jug. The pair who gets the milk jug when the music
stops is the winner.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS – This is a costume class to honor our active and veteran military heroes. Must be
at least one horse/one handler combination, but more are acceptable.
Open to any age, horse does not need to be registered, but must be 38” or under. Create a costume to
represent how special they are. Small flags to be used in the costume will be provided. Any other costume
parts to be provided by the participants.
Winner to be chosen by the judges.
High Point Youth/Amateur: High point Youth and amateur winners will be awarded prizes.
SUPREME CHAMPION CLASS: All Grand Champion winners are invited to participate in our SUPREME
Champion class. This is a non-AMHR rated class.

PREMIUM LIST:
Ribbons/awards 1st to 6th place. First place winners will also be awarded a US silver dollar.
Champions will receive a rosette plus $5 in US silver dollars.
Reserve Champions will receive a rosette plus $3 in US silver dollars
Grand Champions will receive a rosette plus $10 in US silver dollars.
Reserve Champions will receive a rosette plus $5 in US silver dollars.
Supreme Champions will receive a rosette plus $25 in US silver dollars.

STALLS AND DECORATIONS: The stalls are 5' X 10' with a concrete floor. The fairgrounds has
asked that NO nails, staples or tape be used to hang curtains, signs, decorations, etc. Please
plan accordingly.
Horses will be measured Friday, June 19th from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm, Saturday, June 20th, and
Sunday, June 21st, starting at 7:30 am. THIS SHOW IS APPROVED BY THE ASPC/AMHR

participant and/or the participant's horse or pony in the events sponsored or organized (directly or indirectly) by this
organization, it is understood and agreed that Central Michigan Small Equine Club, Inc.. as well as its members,
employees, agents, sponsors, volunteers, insurers, organizers, and others acting on their behalf (hereafter referred to
collectively as "CMSEC") shall not be liable or responsible for any damage, loss or injury to any person or property which
is cause directly or indirectly by any reason, including by not limited to the negligence or act or omission of CMSEC or
others acting on its behalf (except for an act or omission that constitutes gross negligence or act or omission or willful and
wanton misconduct.) The exhibitor, owner, rider/driver, trainer, as well as their respective heirs, administrators, agents
and representatives (hereafter referred to collectively as "Participants") further agree to indemnify and hold CMSEC, Inc.
and its members, employees, agents, sponsors, volunteers, and insurers harmless for any injury or loss suffered during or
in connection with this show. Participants further agree to indemnify and hold harmless CMSEC for all expenses or liability
incurred as a result thereof, including attorney's fees.
It is fully understood and agreed between the parties that as a material condition to any owner or exhibitor
entering or showing at the Central Michigan Small Equine Club, Inc. show, that the CMSEC and its members, employees,
agents sponsors, volunteers, and insurers will at no time have Care, Custody, and/or Control of any animals and/or
personal property whether or not exhibited, which are brought on or about the show/event grounds where the event takes
place. The exhibitor or owner, its employees, associates, and/or agents will have full control, custody and care of any
animals, and/or personal property which are brought on or about the premises of the show.
For the overall working of the show, the exhibitor or owner must handle and care for any animals and/or personal
property in accordance with rules and regulations established by the management of the show, its employees or its
agents. The person signing below in no way shall hold the CMSEC responsible for any loss, damage, or theft that may
occur to or be caused to any animal or personal property.

BRING TO THE SHOW FOR THE SHOW STEWARD:
1. If the horse has been measured within 60 days of this show at another AMHR sanctioned show, you may
present your yellow measurement card or permanent measurement card to the steward. If you do not have
the measurement card, the horse will be required to be measured again. All wraps, blankets, etc., must be
removed from the horse for measuring.
2. The steward is required to see a copy of the registration papers. Bring a copy with you when you present
your horse to be measured.
