Nazarbayev University is a modern and rapidly developing international university located in the
heart of Eurasia – Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This is the first university in
Kazakhstan that is committed to working according to international academic standards and guided by the
principles of autonomy and academic freedom. The University’s autonomous status was granted in
accordance with a special national legislation. It’s academic and research programs are designed in
partnership with leading universities ranked among the top higher education institutions in the world.
2. Registration
Registration will be possible via email bfug@n-k.kz until January 13, 2014.
3. Transport from/to Astana International Airport
Delegates can travel between Astana International Airport and their hotel by taxi or use transfer
service provided by the hotels. Transfer service is available in all 3 hotels. The cost is near 20-25 euro to
one side.
By taxi: ~18 km, 15-20 minute ride. Taxis are available in front of the Airport.
4. Visa

(http://mfa.gov.kz/en/). If you need a personalized invitation letter to obtain your visa, please contact the
organizers at bfug@n-k.kz
5. Hotel accommodation
We propose our guests to book one of the following hotels by contacting the e-mails (these hotels
are not always available on booking.com). Our guests can book rooms in the Jumbaktas Hotel since
November. Hotel Duman and Diplomat Hotel will open booking in January.

6. Cultural Program
You are also cordially invited to take part in a guided tour of the Palace of Peace and Accord on
Thursday 13 February. Transportation to and from the venue will be provided. Please indicate your

7. Official Dinner
Delegates are kindly invited as guest by the Kazakh host to attend a dinner at the Alasha Restaurant
in the evening of 13 February 2014. Transportation to and from the dinner venue will be provided. Please
indicate your interest during registration.
8. Program
The conference «Bologna Structural Reforms: History, Problems and Perspectives» will start at
9.30 am on Thursday, February 13 and end at 11.30 am on Friday, February 14.
