Title your paper “Mini-cuento 1” Write your name and the date in the top right hand corner. There are two sections for this activity. Title each section. a. Section 1: Summary (Resumen) i. Write a 5 sentence summary of the story in English. b. Section 2: Multiple Choice (Selección multiple) i. Write 6 multiple choice questions in Spanish that can be answered by the story. ii. Continue on the same paper. Title this section “Mini-cuento 3) There is one section for this activity. Title the section. a. Section 1: Translate the Mini-story (Traduce el mini-cuento) i. Copy the chart onto your paper. You will need to make 9 rows. Español Inglés Hay una chica que tiene un sombrero grande en el suelo. ii. iii. iv. v. vi. There is a girl that has a big hat on the ground. In the “español” column write the minicuento in Spanish. Each sentence gets its own row. In the “inglés” column write the minicuento in English. Each sentence gets its own row. Remember, you may have to change the word order and every word may not translate exactly. Draw six pictures that represent what happens in the story ii. Write a one sentence caption for each picture in Spanish iii. Translate the captions to English iv.
