For this activity you need one sheet of loose leaf paper and something to write with.
Title your paper “Mini-cuento 1”
Write your name and the date in the top right hand corner.
There are two sections for this activity. Title each section.
a. Section 1: Summary (Resumen)
i. Write a 5 sentence summary of the story in English.
b. Section 2: Multiple Choice (Selección multiple)
i. Write 6 multiple choice questions in Spanish that can be answered by the story.
ii. Have four answer choices in Spanish.
iii. Circle the correct answer.
iv. Example: ¿Qué quiere comer el coyote? (a) hambre (b) cuervo (c) desierto (d) coyote Correct Answer: (B)

i. Copy the chart onto your paper. You will need to make 9 rows.

There is a girl that has a big hat on the
ground.
In the “español” column write the minicuento in Spanish. Each sentence gets its own row.
In the “inglés” column write the minicuento in English. Each sentence gets its own row.
Remember, you may have to change the word order and every word may not translate exactly.
In the “símbolo” column draw a small symbol that represents the sentence that you translated.
Complete the chart for every sentence in the minicuento. Go in order of the story.
