Ross Murray biography Deputy President Ross Murray and his wife Elizabeth are stewards of a traditional mixed-use estate in South Wales. The Llanover Estate, near Abergavenny, has a number of let farms, a residential lettings business, a 10,000 sq. ft. business centre, and converted agricultural buildings now fulfilling a variety of uses. Ross also keeps a 100strong flock of pedigree black Welsh mountain sheep, manages a fishery on the River Usk and is a trustee of the Wye and Usk Foundation. He is a Deputy Lieutenant for Gwent. Ross has been actively involved in the CLA for around 15 years and served from 2011-2013 as Vice-President, chairing the Association’s Policy Committee. He previously also chaired the Legal and Property Rights Committee and CLA Wales. He sits on the Board of Scottish Land & Estates He is a chartered surveyor and manages and develops rural and urban estates in Wales. He is also a forester, managing a large forest in South-West Scotland as well as woodlands at home in Wales. Ross was elected Deputy President of the CLA at the Annual General Meeting on 14 November 2013.
