Bozburun The application window for National Junior Honor Society for 2015-2016 will be from March 11 – April 10, 2015. Students eligible to apply for member ship will have the following qualifications: A current 6th or 7th grade student here at Pershing Middle School A cumulative G. P. A. of 3.75 or higher Have a spirit of involvement, service, and character Students are eligible for induction into the NJHS in the 7th and 8th grades. Each student’s grade point average, character, leadership, service, and citizenship are evaluated to determine who will be inducted. Please note that grades are not the only qualification. Selection for the NJHS will be made annually after the end of the 5th 6 weeks. All forms and report cards are due in the Main office by 4 p.m. on or before April 10, 2015. Choose one of the following topics: The qualities of a National Junior Honor Society member include outstanding scholarship, citizenship, character, leadership, and service to others. Include at least one example of how you exemplify one or more of these qualities. Name an interesting act of community service that you would like to see performed and an example of how it will benefit someone or something within your community. What would you say to convince the committee that you deserve to be chosen to become a member of the National Junior Honor Society?
