This year, our Prom will consist of a formal procession and photo opportunities. Prom will be held on Friday, June 19th 2015, at Montague Regional High School, 274 Valleyfield Road.

Tickets will be sold in early June. Cost to be determined shortly. Grads must have their signed contracts and have student fees paid in order to purchase tickets.

The following timeline is tentative and may be altered slightly:

5:15 – 6:00 pm – Graduates and dates/escorts are invited into the cafeteria for photo opportunities, music and light snacks. Grads may enter through the front doors.

6:00 – 6:10 pm – Grads line up (down the main hall) for procession and announcement; during this time parents and friends are invited into the cafeteria and gymnasium.

Complimentary entrance tickets will collected. Grads will be given 6 complimentary tickets for the cafeteria and gym (3 each). Parents are invited to take lots of photos during the processions!

6:15 to 7:30 pm – Formal Procession: Grads will be announced and proceed through the cafeteria, and then through the gymnasium. During this procession, parents and guests will not be permitted to move between the cafeteria/gym/outside. Once the last graduate proceeds through, the doors will re-open for movement outside. Once grads proceed through both the cafeteria/gym, grads will line up again down the main hall for procession outside (out the parking lot doors by Science Wing).

7:30 to 8:30 pm – Outdoor procession (weather permitting). Following this, Grads and parents will be invited back inside for photo opportunities in the cafeteria at this time.

Grads and dates/escorts may be dropped off around the loop in front of the main entrance of the school. Special Prom vehicles will park in the bus parking lot. Prom students driving themselves will park in the student parking lot.

Parking for all other vehicles will be available at the Wellness Centre, Access PEI, and

Hillcrest United Church. RCMP will be present to strictly enforce parking rules.

In order to ensure the safety of all those attending the Prom events, and to allow parents and the public to line the procession route safely, all access to the main entrance road will be cut off at 6:00 pm after which NO vehicles will be permitted to enter. Grads: This means that if you want to participate in the procession, you must be at the school before

6:00 pm.

One last thing

In an effort to make the Prom a night to remember, the students of the Prom Committee encourage students to participate in the procession and photo opportunities with friends.
