Bernard Blum Award for Novel Biocontrol Solutions
IBMA is very proud to announce a unique opportunity to call for nominations from the industry
for novel biocontrol solutions that will make an impact on this rapidly growing market.
IBMA will award a trophy, interview and product placement in New Ag International and
2BMonthly publications, as well as complementary registration and an exclusive area to display
the winning innovation at ABIM 2015, the premier global biocontrol industry event.
It is expected that the winning entry will have a high impact in management of pests or diseases
whilst having a low impact on human health and the environment.
More importantly this inaugural winner will have an honour that can never be taken away, the
permanent linking of them and their contribution to our industry with our founding father Bernard
Blum whom the award and trophy is dedicated to in this 20th anniversary of the formation of
IBMA as an association.

This award will go the best novel biocontrol product.
Applicants should answer the questions below and describe the product. The judges will be
looking for innovative products with the benefits mentioned above. The target(s) should be
mentioned as well as the method of application. The product should be effective and acceptable
to users and distributors. It can be for any crop or also for use outside agriculture. We are
looking for products that perform in the field, not just in the laboratory.
