Profile
I have a lifelong passion for wildlife, which has led to a determination to join the wildlife film
industry, and a desire to induce this same enthusiasm in my audiences.
I am currently a PhD student, studying feline coronaviruses. My PhD has taught me many
skills, such as perseverance and how to troubleshoot, skills which are easily transferable to
wildlife film making! I have experience of communicating with a wider audience as I have
presented at a number of research days and conferences, both locally and internationally.
With a keen interest in conservation and the environment, I have spent five weeks on a selffunded trip to the Ecuadoran Amazon rainforest, helping with conservation and research
projects; these involved reforestation projects, along with amphibian, butterfly and bird
surveys. I have also been involved with a public engagement project involving a short term
educational exhibition, Endangered Madagascar.
Through a combination of academic, field and voluntary work, I have become an effective
and experienced communicator and have worked with people from a diverse range of
backgrounds. These roles also encouraged me to be independent, self-motivated, organised
and confident in my own abilities
