2010-2012: Designer, Contract design for CHPRC, Richland, WA. 200W Pump & Treat
Facility, multi-disciplined design work; Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical,
Electrical, Piping, HVAC, P&IDs, I&C, Facilitating Engineering staff with design
development & modifications, documenting DCN, Redline & As Builts Field notes.
2010: Designer, Contract design for Energy Solutions, Richland, WA. Mechanical Design
components for use at the Tank Farms at a former Nevada Nuclear test site - Structural
construction detail facility for drying and packaging Nuclear Waste Materials.
2009: Designer, ARES Corp., Richland, WA. P&IDs, System upgrades for the National
Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) facility in Albany, OR. Standardizing and
formalizing compressed gas system installations and tubing runs.
2008: Designer, Contract w/Westinghouse Corp., Richland, WA.
Electrical enclosures and panel layouts, wiring schematics.
2007: Designer, Parsons TD&FC, Pasco, WA.
Utilization of SolidWorks in the development of complex solid modeling of machine parts

2006: Designer, Contract design work for Idaho National Laboratory (INL) Preliminary
design of a Remote Treatment Project: Demolition of existing facilities, termination of
existing utilities, locating and design of new facility foundations. Design and location of a
Decontamination Spray Chamber, design of hatch opening & related equip. Layout &
location of Fire Protection piping, hydrants throughout site and internal building piping.
Multidiscipline peer review of all outgoing drawings for accuracy and presentation.
2005: Designer, Columbia Energy & Environmental Services, Richland, WA. Mechanical
designs (5) of Vortex Cyclones for AMEC to be used in the process of a Demonstration
Bulk Vitrification (DBV). Design of systems for extraction of Nuclear Waste Storage from
single walled to double walled tanks. Civil Site Plan layouts, Control Trailer & Skid assys
& details, Installation dwgs & details, Mechanical & Electrical interface, Equipment details,
Weldments, Assys, Piping, Hoses, P&IDs. PFDs, Spool assys. Filter Skids to be used for
(DBV) & for ongoing projects at the Tank Farms. Also Instrument Enclosure layouts &
diagrams, Panel Board Schedules, Conduit Runs, Wiring diagrams, Heat trace dwgs,
PLCs, Loop diagrams, One line diagrams, Grounding layouts, Audio/Video system
diagrams, Control panels.
2004: Designer, AECOM (DMJM TECHNOLOGY): Demonstration Bulk Vitrification System
proposal for CH2M Hill: Columbia Energy & Environmental Services: Tank Farms Salt Cake
removal proposal for CH2M Hill: Fluor Hanford: K Basins Sludge Removal.
2003: Designer, ANP (SIEMANS/FRAMATONE), Richland, WA. Designed a next generation
Nuclear Fuel Pellet cartridge loader and inspection conveyor.
2002: Designer Fluor Hanford: 100K Basins, Coordinated assignments & assisted with
project &/or computer related questions/problems. Peer Review (Checking) drawings &
designs (Hanford & outside vendors) for Fuel Retrieval System (FRS), Canister Cleaning
System (CCS), Fuel Transfer System (FTS), Sludge Transfer System (STS), Sludge Water
System (SWS); Primary designer for fast track build & install Sludge Waste System (SWS)
Truck scale system. Ongoing design reviews & facility design modifications &
documentation (FMP’s) to ensure that newly introduced processes & procedures & support
systems function properly. Familiar with Nuclear Facility Codes, Regulations & Procedures.
Design Glovebox latching device. Design Yoke lifting device, utilized as a nuclear waste
container liner hoist.
2000: Designer, BNFL Inc. / Idaho National Engineering & Environmental Laboratory
(INEEL): Design hydraulic drum lid sealing mechanism. Design shipping / storage
containers for transuranic nuclear waste / crushed 55 gallon drums (pucks).
1999: Designer, Fluor Hanford: As-built, field verification program of Cold Vacuum Drying
Facility (CVDF), & IWTS 105KW, Walk-down verification of mechanical & electrical
systems, write & incorporate Engineering Change Notices. Design & documentation of
tools used to categorize fuel basin sludge & scrap. Canister Storage Building (CSB) update
dwgs with relevant as built information.
1998: Designer, Sonico Inc: Moses Lake, WA. Developed special repairs for a wide variety
of Boeing & McDonnell Douglas aircraft. Mechanical items/devices & structures, including
hydraulic & structural members, wing & flap components, A myriad of materials,
honeycomb, fiberglas, Kevlar & various metals. Acted as liaison with Boeing’s Engineering
Department & other aircraft component manufacturers to ensure that repair scenarios
would qualify for necessary air worthiness criteria.
1997: Designer, Chem Nuclear Inc., & Los Alamos Technical Associates (LATA): Piping
layouts for Integrated Water Treatment System for 105KW & Facility layout of an annex
to be used for Ion Exchange Modules (IXMs). Prepared a layout for hydro cyclones &
associated piping used as an integral component of sludge removal. Conceptual design &
layout of filter & ventilation systems, associated ducting, shielding walls, ceilings. Design
storage tank Sludge Weight and Liquid Level Tape Removal Reel.
1993-1996: Designer, Contracted to; Westinghouse Hanford & Kaiser Engineers Hanford
(ICF-KEH): Documentation of existing Essential Systems for all of the 100-K Basin area;
100KE, 100KW reactor bldgs, SNF Pools, all supporting facilities. Field walk down
verification of as-installed piping systems, spent nuclear fuel canister racks, & other
mechanical devices & assemblies. Developed "as-found" piping & instrumentation
diagrams (P&IDs) & other mechanical systems. Provided engineering support for the
design of SNF Storage Basin Isolation Barriers.
