Who am I?
I am...
•Aracely Zamudio
•A student at the
University of Houston
•A hopeful, future,
digital designer!
What am I about?
• I attend the University of Houston, and hope to
soon major in digital media, which will
hopefully combine my love of art with the
innovations of today’s technology
• I love art. Even when I was a child, I cannot
remember a time I wasn’t drawing. If not on
paper, then on walls (which my parents were
never too happy about).

•Yes! That’s right! Music!
•This is a lovely tune by TV on the Radio called
“You”
•This video is here to fulfill the video requirement of
this project, but also because I love it, and I do
listen to it to inspire myself while working.

What is a digital designer?
A digital designer is someone who mixes their
creativity with technical skills to create designs using
various medias.
They make work in various areas, from making flyers
to making video games, or even advertisement. A
designer will create different types of designs and
layouts.
Education
• Many 4-year institutions offer bachelors in Digital
Media
– Bachelor in Fine Arts is also acceptable
– Masters in Fine Arts is great to accompany a bachelor
in Digital Media
• Fine arts schools offer associates in design
– These are good enough for entry level positions
• Designers must be knowledgeable in different
technologies from HTML to Photoshop in order to
make designs for different situations.

There are 6 basic principles of design
1. Proximity
2. Contrast
3. Emphasis
4. Alignment
5. Repetition
6. Unity
A good design will have all of these.
