Vegetable oil 60ml

Draw a line 3cm from the bottom of a boiling tube
Pour salty blue solution in to the boiling tube
Pour vegetable oil into the same boiling tube
Place bung on top
Shake the mixture
Start stop clock and time how long the layers take to separate
Record results
Repeat steps 5, 6 & 7 with the same solutions in the boiling tube two times
Wash out boiling tube and carry out steps 1 – 8 only adding 1ml, 2ml, 3ml, 4ml &
5ml of 10% soap solution respectively
