Permanent Labor Certification Program
This is not an open position; recruitment and selection have been completed. This is the posting of Notice of Filing Labor
Certification Application. An application concerning the employment of one or more alien workers for the following permanent
position will be filed with the Department of Labor. This Notice of Filing will be posted for at least 10 consecutive business
days, ending between 30 and 180 days before filing the permanent labor certification application.

Job Title: Assistant Professor
Job Duties: Teach undergraduate courses in advertising, strategic communication or communication technology and contribute
to one or more of the College's graduate emphases in Communication, Technology, and Society; Media and Health Promotion;
or Science Communication through graduate teaching, scholarship and grants. Pursue research agenda in media analysis or
digital advertising and be willing to collaborate with interdisciplinary research groups and centers across campus and to
interact with the professional community and other outside constituents as appropriate.
Job requirements: An earned PhD or ABD (nearing completion of the dissertation) in Communication or a related area
before employment start date. Evidence of successful teaching and potential for a productive research agenda in communication
related to media analytics, big data analysis, social network analysis, or advanced quantitative methods applicable to social
media or advertising. Plus professional skills, ability to teach media planning or other advertising courses, and demonstrated
success or potential in securing grants.
Rate of Pay: The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.

This notice is being provided to workers in the place of intended employment by the following means:
Posting a clearly visible and unobstructed notice, for at least ten (10) consecutive business days, in two conspicuous
locations in the workplace, where the employer's U.S. workers can readily read the posted notice, including but not limited to
locations in the immediate vicinity of the wage and hour notices.
AND
Publishing the notice in any and all in-house media, whether electronic or printed, in accordance with the normal procedures
used for the recruitment of similar positions in the employer’s organization.
