Want to breathe new life into old, worn-out furniture? Then join Peggy in this fun and informative workshop! Bring a small
piece of furniture (i.e. nightstand, side table, large decorative frame) and transform it during this class. This workshop is $95 and
includes all supplies. Just bring your piece of furniture and wear painting clothes. We will provide the rest, including a light snack! No
advance techniques required, your piece of furniture must not be too large (maximum of 28x28 in) for the largest surface area of
your piece. You will learn distressing, basic painting application, wax application and antiquing. Call Peggy to reserve your spot

STACEY CAMPBELL - CREATIVE SKETCHBOOKS & JOURNALS

Ages 14 and up
Artists' sketchbooks and journals are a unique form of self-expression. They are a way to explore the relationship between
image and text as well as create works “on the go”. You will be experimenting with a wide variety of techniques, placing your own
imagery inside existing books as well as creating your own dynamic sketchbook to build up a powerful body of work. The books you
develop may trigger ideas for later projects or become works of art in their own right. Emphasis is on the creative process. A full list
of materials will be supplied upon registration. $150 Estimated materials cost: $35.

In this Life Drawing Workshop you will be working from live, costumed models and the human skeleton focusing on
accuracy, dynamic gesture drawing and anatomy studies. Through a series of both long and short poses designed to develop your
observational and drawing skills you will explore the human form, light and shadow, and line quality. Students interested in a career
in illustration or animation will find this workshop to be the perfect stepping stone to development of their portfolio for admission
to art school. New techniques, exploration of materials, and critiques are emphasized. Demonstrations and one-on-one tutorials
provided. No previous figure drawing experience is required. $150 Estimated cost of materials $30.

Discover your wildest imagination through surrealism, ink and graphite wash and montage. Learn simple techniques to set
your world apart. Examine the surreal work of local street artists in addition to surreal classicists Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte and
others. Contour line drawing, shading, pointillism, cross hatching, ink and graphite wash, and design fundamentals will make your
imagined world come alive! Add typography, prose, and poetry then merge it all to create dreamlike surreal collages worthy of small

Ages 14 and up
Admission to art schools is fierce and your portfolio should represent good foundations skills while showing personal work
that expresses unique creativity. In most cases students wanting to pursue careers in Fine Art, Illustration or Animation should
expect to show competent life drawing skills – both gestural and longer, and other observational work such as portraiture, still life,
nature and cityscape. Personal work that reveals experimentation can also help distinguish an individual's portfolio. This class will
help students prepare their portfolio by identifying areas of needed improvement, refine their artistic vision and develop a language
for their unique process. Time will be spent working on projects of the student's choice to enhance portfolio presentation. $150
