Some of the ways that money made deserving people smile are:

Provided a "Life Alert Necklace" subscription for a live-alone cancer patient,
enabling her to feel safe, secure, and comfortable in her own home.
•
Purchased a brand new mattress, box springs, and a bed frame (of their choice)
for a cancer patient experiencing back pain, to provide comfort.
•
Made a monetary gift to the Meyersdale Historical Society and the Somerset Trail
Alliance for the maintenance and improvement efforts along the Great Allegheny Passage.
•
Made arrangements, and have money available, for local family to buy an IPad to enable
FaceTime with loved one while he is away from home receiving treatments.
•
Maintaining remainder of 2013 proceeds in funding available for needs discovered or
brought to our attention.

event, where all sponsors will be acknowledged. The event will begin at 7:30 am with expected wrap up by
11:00am on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Garrett Trail Access of the Great Allegheny Passage.

Sponsors donating at the $250 level and above (cash donations or goods) will be recognized on our event long
