AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A READER
VALENTINA PUERTA
I read some times, only when there’s something interesting to
know. I consider interesting things like, fiction books and sports and
Showbiz magazines, also I like to read on Facebook and Twitter, mostly
about my favorite band, One Direction I know all about their life, because I
have read it in magazines and social networks.
My earliest memory of reading is when my mother read me tales
when it was time to go to bed, I remember that most of the time when I
went to book stores I wanted to buy lots of books, I liked books that had
3D figures and lots of drawings . One of the thing I remember a lot is
when I was in second grade and the teacher said us to read in Rat-z-kids, it
was an online page where you can read and listen books, and every time
you did something very good you went up a level .I liked so much book
form Dr Seuss once my mother brought me about 8 books of that author
and I was extremely excited, I take them everywhere in my little purse.
When I was in elementary I just like a few books like Because of
Winn Dixie of Kate DiCamillo, Junie B Jones of Barbara Park. During
middle school, now I only read genres that I like, and also I read the
homework’s of all subjects.
Reading is not one of my favorite’s activities, but I can read very well
and sometimes about twice or more times in a year I read a book for fun.
But I read for fun every day in my social Networks and Magazines.
However I am conscious that I need to read every day for my learning and
to get many vocabulary to express better my ideas and that’s important in
my life.
My favorite books during this period of my life are, fiction books
like Stories of a Wayside School and sometimes read historical books
mostly about the second world war like The Boy With the Striped Pajamas
I think this is a spectacular book. I also like to read the Guinness world
record book, I think it is very interesting and amazing. I like fiction books
because they are easy to understand and they engage you into the story.
My reading goals for the future are to choose another type of
genres like autobiographies, mystery and comedy. I will try to choose
longer books and don’t abandon them, but at my reading level so I can
understand them. I like to have love for reading because I believe it is a
valuable tool for the different aspects in our life, also I can learn many
things wonderful and can share with my friends and family.
