However, a meeting took place between officers, the applicant and transport consultant on the 6th October, and traffic figures were presented for similar premises used for intensive agricultural purposes. A further revised transport statement will be submitted so that this can be scrutinised and for further consultation. On this basis, the Head of Transport recommends that determination is deferred until assessment of revised figures can be carried out. Local Member – Councillor W T Evans has not made prior comment however requests that the application be deferred for a site visit so Committee can see the access. 2 No. additional objections have been received drawing reference to the inadequacies of the highway network and recent HGV being stuck on the road between Heol Nazareth and the site and the hedgerow translocation. The Conservation Section has stated that there are Dormouse records within 600m of the site and therefore a precautionary approach needs to be taken in the method statement. CONCLUSION The Local Member has requested that the application be deferred for a site visit so that Committee can see for themselves the highway leading to the site. Given the need to assess the additional information and carry out further public consultation, it is recommended that the application be deferred for a site visit as requested.
