Main point / Objective Know about the weather vocabularies, to understand the meaning , pronunciation of words , a description of the weather and asking about the weather to be used for communication in daily life. 2. It is cloudy - The weather is ……… in the ……….season. - Do you like rainy season? Yes, I do./No, I don’t. Function: Talking about the weather in Thailand 5. Learning Activities Warm up 1. Students sing a song together. Name song : How is the weather? Tone : Are you sleeping? How is the weather? How is the weather? It’s rainy. It’s raining. Do you like rainy? Do you like rainy? Yes, I do. No, I don’t. Presentation 2. Students repeat vocabulary after teacher 2-3 times for example ; summer, warm, sunny, hot, winter, cold, foggy, windy, rainy season, stormy, cloudy, rainy 3. The teacher shows word cards and pronounces the sentence to the students repeat after teacher. A: How is the weather in the summer? B: It is sunny, hot and warm. A: Do you like rainy season/cold season? B: Yes I do. / No I don’t. For example ; A: Do you like hot season? B: No, I don’t. 4. The teacher chooses two students to talk in front of class. Practice 5. Make students into 4 groups. Every group makes 4 lines in front of the class. Each group send 1 volunteer to read the secret code from teacher and whisper that sentence to the first person of group and do it continuously until the last person. Then the last person will choose the picture card that is the same meaning with the sentence. The group that finishes first is the winner then pronounces the sentence. Production 6. Teacher gives some exercises to student and students have 10 minutes to do exercise. 7. Students do the exercise 8. When time’s up the teacher will choose 2 volunteer to answer it in front of the class. Wrap up 8. Students review vocabulary by sing a song “How is the weather?” together. 6. Materials 1.
