For Poetry Couplet - Five couplets, [8 marks] per couplet Single lines usually worth 4 marks per line, sometimes broken in half Where [4 marks] are available, give four if all correct; if one Latin word is rendered incorrectly, give [3]; if half or more of the section is correct (but more Latin words than one are rendered incorrectly), give [2]; if something is correct but more than half the section is wrong, give one. Otherwise zero. For Prose Since the rules forbid half marks it is important to find a way to distinguish between more and less serious errors. Otherwise, in this kind of exercise, it can become difficult to reflect the range of performance.
