MISSION: Offer professional guidance to enhance individual/mission readiness, educate and equip Airmen of
available Air Force education programs, and to assist in preparing the world's elite fighting force through
education.
WHY SHOULD YOU GO TO COLLEGE? Because higher education improves your chances of having the life and
job you desire. In most cases, the more education you have, the more availability and opportunity you find
in selecting careers and jobs that fit your educational and professional background. This can also translate into
more desired incomes for you and your family.
The Air Force has outstanding education benefits, and here at Barksdale, we strive to educate you on these
options. The education office has four trained Masters-level professional guidance counselors who are trained and
prepared to assist with any of your education goals. These goals can include completing your CCAF degree,
Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or even a one-time certificate/license up to $4,500.00. Please make an
appointment or come in during our walk-ins to discuss your individual goals. The Education Center also offers
CLEP/DANTES exams to help expedite and shorten the length of completing your degree program.
The Education Building hosts three regionally accreditted universities. On base you will find, Louisiana Tech
University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and Northwestern State University of Louisiana. These
universities offer programs that can be completed entirely in-residence. Each also offers on-line and in residence
courses according to your needs. MyCAA programs for spouses are also available.
TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE RECEIVED AT CCAF BY THE LAST FRIDAY IN AUGUST TO COMPLETE
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FALL CCAF GRADUATION. TO COMPLETE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SPRING
GRADUATION, TRANSCRIPTS WILL NEED TO BE RECEIVED BY THE LAST FRIDAY IN FEBRUARY.

Registration is ongoing for Undergraduate and Graduate Online terms. ERAU offers Associate and Bachelors
degrees in Professional Aeronautics, Technical Management, and Aviation Maintenance. Masters degrees are
offered in Aeronautical Science and Management. The Type 65 A&P license is also available. ERAU is a proud

Early registration for the 2011 spring quarter begings today. LA Tech offers Associate and Bachelors degrees in
General Studies, as well as the Bachelors in Psychology and Electrical Engineering Technology. Masters degrees
are offered in Counseling and Guidance, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Business Administration. To
