We provide here an updated list of events and related news on our way to COP21.
2° Investing Initiative’s events, and those with our participation, at COP21, Paris:

Nov. 30 – Climate change: the finance sector and pathways to 2°C – Salle Victor Hugo
– Immeuble Jacques Chaban Delmas, 101 rue de l'Université, 75007 Paris
(13:30–15:30) The 2° Investing Initiative and the SEI Metrics project team will present the 2°C
Portfolio Framework, aimed at assessing the alignment of investment portfolios with climate goals.
(15:30–20:00) The 2° Investing Initiative, the Oxford Martin School, and France Stratégie are
inviting decision-makers and climate experts to share their vision and propositions for a climate–
friendly finance sector. Hosted by French MPs Arnaud Leroy and Denis Baupin, the conference will
welcome speakers such as Jonathan Taylor (EIB), Isabelle Kocher (ENGIE), Jean Pisani–Ferry
(France Stratégie), Myriam Durand (Moody’s), Colin LeDuc (Generation IM), Luiz Pereira da Silva
(BIS) and Myles Allen (Oxford Univ.).

Dec. 1 – The Future of Financial Markets in Line with 2°C – German Pavilion, Le Bourget
(12:00–14:00) The German Environment Ministry (BMUB), New Climate Institute, Germanwatch,
and 2° Investing Initiative will host a discussion on measuring the compatibility of project finance and
infrastructure investments with the 2°C climate goal. The event will include a presentation of the
report on "2°C compatible investment criteria" published as part of the German G7 presidency.
UNFCCC accreditation required, no registration required.

Dec. 1 – Towards a sustainable financial system: lessons from UNEP Inquiry national
case studies – Climate Generations area
(9:45-11:15) – The Institute for Climate Economics (I4CE) co-hosts a discussion with the UNEP
Inquiry into the Design of a Sustainable Financial System. This event will present some of the
emerging practice from national case studies supporting the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon
economy. Stan Dupré of 2° Investing Initiative will moderate the panel on “Changes in practice:
national case studies and evolving global trends”.

Dec. 2 – ACT – Assessing low Carbon Transition – French Pavilion, Le Bourget
(17:00–19:00) CDP and ADEME, in partnership with EIB and 2° Investing Initiative, present a new
verifiable climate rating that will assess the degree of alignment of companies with the need to
transition to a low carbon economy.

Dec. 4 – From climate goals to portfolio allocation: the Sustainable Energy Investment
Metrics (SEI Metrics) project – European Pavilion, Le Bourget
(16:30–18:00) At this joint event, 2° Investing Initiative and the SEI Metrics research consortium will
present their approach to translate COP21 policy goals and associated roadmaps into portfolio
exposure targets. The event will include a presentation of our report "Assessing the alignment of
portfolios with climate goals: IEA climate scenarios translated into a 2°C benchmark". UNFCCC

Dec. 7 – Role of the financial system in the transition to a low–carbon
economy – Climate Generations area, Le Bourget
(11:30–13:30) 2° Investing Initiative, Carbon Tracker Initiative, and the UNEP Inquiry will introduce
their respective approaches and current activities. A panel will explore avenues to adjust the
regulatory context and investment processes to climate needs.
At the COP21 Climate Generations area (Le Bourget), free access, no UNFCCC accreditation required.
