This contract is made and entered into on this ____ day of ____________, and is by and between Male
Owner, Miller-McMahan Alpacas herein after designated as The Breeder, and Female Owner, herein
designated as Female Owner. Name of Female _________________________, ARI# ______________

1. The Breeding Fee of _______________ payable with all other expenses when the female is
picked up, unless other arrangements have been made. No rebreeding privilege will be honored
unless this condition is met. A 10% non-refundable deposit is due at the signing of this contract.
2. Board: Initial 60 days included in Breeding Fee. Beyond 60 days will require a $3.00 per day
boarding fee.
3. The Female will be carefully supervised and afforded the best care possible. However, the
breeder will not be responsible for accidents, sickness or death to Female and they will exercise
their own judgment in caring for and supervising them. The Female owner will accept full
responsibility for any veterinary and ancillary expenses incurred by the female. The Female
Owner is not liable for death, sickness and/or accident caused by the male.
4. All females must be halter broken. Females of a very unstable nature will not be accepted.
5. The breeder reserves the Right to approve the female before service. In the event after
acceptance of the female, the breeder decides due to females health or some other reason, that
he cannot or does not desire to continue in an attempt to settle the female, he has the right to
notify the owner and refund the deposit, less any veterinarian fee and board bill and thereby
cancel this contract. If the male dies or becomes unfit for service, or if the female dies, or
becomes unfit to breed, then this contract shall become null and void.
6. The female shall be in a healthy and sound breeding condition.
a. All females and crias shall be current on all vaccinations and have a current health
certificate.
b. It is mandatory that all females have been wormed within the last 3 months. Date of last

7. The breeder agrees to diligently try to settle the female. The breeder will assume no
responsibility for a female that will not breed or cannot conceive but will exercise every
reasonable effort to settle female and care for female and cria. It is further agreed that should
female owner take female home before breeder has ample opportunity to settle her (having
bred her through at least 3 cycles or being certified pregnant by your veterinarian), then all
unpaid board, expenses and breeding fees becomes due and payable. If however, for any
reason she does not settle, the breeder will be held harmless.
8. The breeder “Guarantees a Live Cria”, a live cria is a newborn cria which stands and nurses by
itself. If the cria is born dead, the female owner is entitled to a return breeding only if breeder is
notified of crias death within one week and receives a veterinarian statement confirming death.
9. If the female miscarries, aborts or proves barren after leaving breeders premises, female owner
has the privilege to return the same female for breeding. No breeding fees will be returned. If
the same female is to be rebred and the female owner fails to deliver her for rebreeding the
following year, this contract is hereby canceled.
10. A breeding record will be issued for the female from this breeding after full payment of the
breeding fee and other expenses.
11. The female owner will be responsible for all insurance on the above mentioned females during
transportation of the female and while on the premises throughout the duration of her stay.
Failure of the female owner to secure insurance shall constitute the owner a self-insurer.

12. Permission must be obtained from the Male Owner within 24 hours in advance of the female’s
arrival to the breeding farm and 24 hours before any female is removed from the breeding farm.
If the female is removed without the Male Owners knowledge all live cria guarantees or return
privileges will be denied.
13. Special Conditions: This breeding must be used within one year of the date of this contract.
When the breeder signs and returns one copy of this contract to the female owner, it will be a binding
contract on both parties. The Female Owner agrees not to assign or transfer this contract without the
consent of the breeder or agent.
