Dear business owner,
At Jefferson Outpatient Imaging (JOI), we understand that nearly all breast cancer can be treated
successfully, if found in the early stages. Annual mammograms, combined with self-breast exams, are the
best way to detect the disease early. Since education is a key component in the fight against breast cancer,
we are excited to share plans for our upcoming contest, The Hunt for Pink October! We hope to:
Educate local women about breast health and the importance of annual screenings through a fun,
interactive scavenger hunt contest
Involve our surrounding community, including local businesses like yours, to encourage participation
Raise money to provide uninsured women with annual screening mammograms
Will you partner with us in the name of Breast Cancer Awareness and women’s health?
What will I need to do?
We will provide you with trivia questions to give to participants who come to your business throughout the
month of October. We are also seeking prize donations of all sizes from our business partners (gift certificate
to your business, gift basket, merchandise, etc.) to raffle off to participants.
What’s in it for my business?
Exposure! Participants will need to visit your business in person to collect trivia, so this is a free and easy
way for potential new customers to walk through your doors. Your logo and vendor information will also be
displayed on our sponsorship materials, newspaper ad, and event Facebook page. If you choose to donate a
prize, your donation is tax deductible.
