Procedure Logging Summary

Procedure Logging Update:
Residents have always been able to post their procedures onto New Innovations, but many have not done so. It is not
required for graduation, however, starting now, residents will NOT be allowed to do a procedure without supervision if
they have not been “Signed Off” on that particular procedure. Nurses are now required to check the credentialing system
to ensure a resident is approved to perform that procedure. See table below.
This is a hospital requirement, and all residency programs need to comply. Direct residents to Jill Wallock or
Laura Ozark with questions. Please note that residents will need to email Dr. Laura Ozark once the required
number of procedures is completed to be approved. It is not automatic (yet). Also, entering procedures will then
allow graduates to have that information sent to fellowship programs and jobs, if needed. Enter all procedures,
even if you are signed off since some fellowship programs want to know totals.
