Registration of Players: Only Players that have registered and paid the £3.50 registration fee before the start of the season are eligible to play from the opening game of the season.
Registered players can only play for the team they are registered with and all captains will be allowed to register additional New Players during the current season.
Captains may undertake the registration of New Players prior to 8.00pm
on the night of
Any League or Cup Match . The registration of new players is open to any players who are currently not registered and have not taken part in any League or Cup matches to date.
Non Registered Players :
Please be aware any team/player should ensure they are allowed to play in the away venue premises. All Captains need to be aware if any player is barred from specific
Public House(s) and ensure there is cover for this, there is no promise made that a barred person will be allowed to access premises in an away game situation. It is the
Landord/Landlady legal right to refuse entry. Please ensure the organisers are aware for individual competitions as they will try to ensure venues are suitable.
If a player receives a ‘Ban from Licensed Premises’ from the Police/Courts they are not allowed to play in the Douglas Leagues whilst this is in force.
The playing of Non Registered Players is forbidden and any team found doing so will lose all points available from that match. Any team playing a Non Registered Player(s) in any Cup Competition will automatically lose the fixture.
Individual Player Transfers: Any Individual Player may approach the Administration Committee before 31st
December of the current season to transfer from one team to another. In all cases the current player must give good reason for the transfer and the Committee reserves the right to refuse the transfer, if they feel it is not in the best interest of the Douglas &
District Pool – Darts Leagues.

Douglas & District Pool – Darts Administration Committee wishes to discourage teams from pulling out of any league once the season has begun. Any team that pulls out of a league “WILL NOT” be able to transfer multiple players to another team. The transfer of one or two players may be allowed but the Committee reserves the right to refuse the transfer, if they feel it is not in the best interest of the Douglas & District Pool – Darts
Leagues.
Any team that wishes to move Public Houses must approach the Administration
Committee before 31 st December of the current season. The Committee reserves the right to refuse the transfer, if they feel it is not in the best interest of the Douglas & District
Pool – Darts Leagues.
Any Captain during a league match may substitute One Player for another registered player. The Substitution of players should only take place if the current player must leave the venue before their game commences and is no longer available, or if they are unable to attend the fixture for whatever reason.
All Cup Competitions will continue to be played as drawn and without with any substitutions. If a player is unavailable when called to the table / board will automatically lose the match.
Time of Matches: All League and Cup matches should commence at 8.20pm (Promptly)
All other competitions will commence from 8.00pm

Score cards can be used, or team books but result must be agreed by both Captains. The
Home Captain should keep hold of all Score Cards for 4 Weeks, in case of any disputes.
Both Home and Away Captains must TEXT the result, along with information of
HIGH SCORES & FINISHES (Over 100), along with details of any 8 BALL
BREAKS/BREAK & FINISH to the appropriate Fixture Secretary (Darts Walter
McCarthy tel: 427295 Pool Lisa Kelly tel :432724) once the match has been completed. PLEASE NOTE: NO HIGH SCORES, FINISHES & 8 BALL BREAKS will be taken over the phone.
If a League or Cup fixture result is not received by the Fixture Secretary once the league or Cup match has been completed the Away Team will be awarded the match or the maximum points available.
League Tables will be formulated by the Fixture Secretary one week in advance. League
Tables will be forwarded to Isle of Man Newspapers and be available on the original webpage www.douglaspool-darts.com
within 24 hours of results being posting.

Will not be tolerated in any form, any individual/player may be removed from a specific competition, position as Captain/Vice Captain or from the League as a registered player for this season/next season or life ban depending on the severity.

Only registered players will be allowed to enter any competitions organised by the
Douglas & District Pool – Darts league.
In the event of any outlet withdrawing from any League, all matches and results will be voided. All remaining teams in that League will receive the Maximum points available from that fixture.
The committee reserves the right to review this decision if withdrawals are within the last
3 weeks of any league games for the season and the said removal will directly affect the final placements for each division.
(The Development Committee will not administer the day-to-day administration of the leagues)
The object of the Development committee is to promote and support both games of Darts & Eight ball pool within Douglas & District.
The Development Committee shall establish itself as a creditable governing body working under the main Administration Committee and be responsible for the advancement of both Darts & Eight ball pool within Douglas & District.

Any two members of the said Development Committee shall constitute a quorum so long as at least one Administration Committee member is present.
The Development Committee as a creditable governing body working under the main
Administration Committee will also be responsible for following items considered outside the main day-to-day administration.
Disputes: Team Captains should endeavour to settle any disputes that may arise on the night of the match. The Fixture Secretary may be approached to gain general information with regard to the rules.
In the event of any dispute not being settled on the night or for any other disputed matters, they must be addressed in writing to the Development Committee, whose decision shall be final and binding.
Verbal & Physical Abuse: All incidents must be reported to the Fixture Secretary then addressed in writing to the
Development Committee, their findings will be final and binding.
